(G)I-DLE's all-rounder Yuqi is set to return as a solo artist next month.

Cube Entertainment confirmed to Dispatch on August 12, "Yuqi is currently preparing for a new album with the goal of a September comeback. Please look forward to it."

Record-Breaking Solo Debut

Yuqi made her solo debut last year with her first mini album YUQ1, which became an instant hit. Despite it being her first solo release in six years since debut, she impressed fans with her solid skills and stage presence.

The album sold over 550,000 copies in its first week, making Yuqi the third highest-selling female soloist in K-pop history for first-week sales and setting the record for the best-selling mini album by a female soloist.]

Expanding Her Musical Range

In March, Yuqi released the digital single Radio (Dum-Dum), blending trendy melodies with her signature deep, husky vocals to create a fresh hip-hop R&B sound.

She has also proven her talents as a producer. In June, she worked as a producer for the group NAWOOZ, in addition to contributing to multiple tracks for (G)I-DLE and her own solo projects.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE will perform at Japan's largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC 2025, on August 16–17.
