SEVENTEEN has once again proven their commitment to meaningful giving, donating $250,000 (approx. 325 million KRW) to UNESCO to empower young people across the globe.
Strengthening Global Youth Support
On August 12, SEVENTEEN contributed proceeds from the charity auction "JOOPITER presents: sacai x SEVENTEEN" to UNESCO. The donation will bolster the Global Youth Grant Scheme, a joint initiative between SEVENTEEN and UNESCO aimed at supporting youth worldwide.
The group shared, "Since debut, we've expressed the many moments of youth through music filled with our genuine experiences and emotions. The meaning of International Youth Day is especially significant to us." They added words of encouragement: "To every young person around the world who is chasing their dreams, we send you our full support."
Special Charity Auction with sacai and Pharrell Williams
The charity auction featured a limited-edition collaboration between SEVENTEEN, Japanese fashion brand sacai, and JOOPITER—a platform founded by legendary artist-producer Pharrell Williams. The lineup included leather jackets and signed T-shirts crafted with the members' direct involvement, limited collaboration pieces with La Boube, and necklaces designed with Yoon Ahn.
Longstanding Partnership with UNESCO
This is not SEVENTEEN's first collaboration with UNESCO. In 2023, they became the first K-pop group to be invited to the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum at the organization's Paris headquarters, delivering both a speech and a performance. Last year, they were named UNESCO's first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors and donated $1 million (approx. 1.3 billion KRW) to foster creativity and well-being among young people.
That fund continues to support 100 self-driven youth group projects for a better future. Through ongoing involvement, SEVENTEEN has built strong global connections and inspired young audiences worldwide.
Upcoming World Tour
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off their NEW world tour at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 13–14. The tour will move on to Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on September 27–28, followed by five U.S. cities in October, and Japan's four major domes in November and December.
