Cats Eye Climbs Billboard for 6th Week, Boosted by Lollapalooza Chicago Performance
by. ymchoi

Cats Eye continues its strong run on the U.S. Billboard charts, riding the momentum from their electrifying Lollapalooza Chicago stage.

According to Billboard's latest chart (dated August 16), the group's second EP Beautiful Chaos ranked No. 69 on the main Billboard 200, marking its sixth consecutive week on the chart since debuting at No. 4 on July 12.

Strong Showing Across Multiple Charts

The EP also placed No. 17 on Top Album Sales and No. 15 on Top Current Album Sales, proving its robust sales power.

Title track Gabriela climbed eight spots to No. 44 on the Global 200 and rose seven spots to No. 33 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, now charting for seven consecutive weeks. Another track, Gnarly, jumped 11 spots to No. 93 and 13 spots to No. 103 on the respective charts, maintaining a 14-week streak.

The Lollapalooza Effect

The rise comes after Cats Eye's August 3 performance at Lollapalooza Chicago, where their high-energy set went viral on social media. This exposure fueled a spike in Spotify streams—Gabriela's daily plays surged from 2.22 million to 2.68 million, while Gnarly jumped from 1.47 million to 1.70 million.

Long-Lasting Hits

Their previous hit Touch (released July 2024) surpassed 400 million cumulative streams on August 9. Cats Eye now boasts four tracks with over 100 million streams: Touch, Gabriela, Gnarly, and Debut.

Cats Eye is set to perform at Summer Sonic 2025 and Summer Sonic Extra from August 16 to 18.
