Baek Ji-heon from girl group fromis_9 is stepping onto the big screen with her first acting role.

On August 13, production company Studio HIM confirmed the casting for Nerd Rhapsody (directed by Park Jin-woo), starring Baek Ji-heon, Ahn Ji-ho, Moon Sung-hyun, and Woo Yeon of woo!ah!.

The film is a coming-of-age romance centered on music. It follows a genius "nerd" pianist who falls in love at first sight with a transfer student and ventures into hip-hop to win her heart.

Baek Ji-heon plays Kwon Na-eun, the transfer student and aspiring singer-songwriter who becomes the object of the protagonist's affection. Her role will also showcase her singing and guitar skills.

Ahn Ji-ho takes on the role of Yeom Dae-sung, the genius pianist, while Moon Sung-hyun plays high school rapper Oh Da-min. Woo Yeon will portray Min-ji, Dae-sung's younger sister.

According to the production team, "Nerd Rhapsody tells a heartfelt youth story about expressing oneself, finding understanding, and growing through music. It will deeply resonate with audiences."

The film recently began production, with its release schedule and distribution platform yet to be announced.]
