Actor Song Kang-ho has officially joined Galaxy Corporation, becoming the company's first signed actor. The announcement was made on August 14, with the agency confirming an exclusive contract with the award-winning star. This move places Song under the same management as G-Dragon.
Galaxy CEO Choi Yong-ho expressed his excitement, saying, "It is a great honor to open a new AI entertainment-tech era together with Song Kang-ho, who has made significant contributions to the globalization of the film industry."
Song is a cornerstone of Korean cinema, with four blockbuster films surpassing 10 million viewers — The Host (2006), The Attorney (2013), A Taxi Driver (2017), and Parasite (2019). In 2022, he became the first Korean actor to win Best Actor at the 75th Cannes Film Festival for Parasite. Last year, he made his drama debut with Disney+'s Uncle Samsik and is currently reviewing his next project.
