Disney+ original series Pine: Country Bumpkins (written by Kang Yoon-sung & Ahn Seung-hwan, directed by Kang Yoon-sung) wrapped up on August 13, with actor Ryu Seung-ryong reflecting on the series' conclusion.
Ryu portrayed Oh Kwan-seok, the leader of the "bumpkins," a character willing to do anything for profit. His seasoned acting highlighted Kwan-seok's diligent yet relentless traits, as well as the darker, ruthless side driven by desire.
Ryu shared, "The journey on Pine: Country Bumpkins was truly joyful. The set, as we chased our 'treasure,' will remain a lifelong treasure I'll never forget." He expressed gratitude to the cast and crew, saying, "It was a great honor to live as Oh Kwan-seok during that time."
He also thanked viewers, adding, "Your support until the end made me genuinely happy. I promise to return with another compelling story."
Ryu Seung-ryong has confirmed his next project: the JTBC weekend drama The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works at a Big Company and Lives in Seoul.
