Moon-won (Park Sang-moon, 36), fiancé of Koyote member Shin Ji, has taken legal action against the spread of false rumors online.
Legal Action Over False Claims
On August 16, law firm DLG released a statement noting that following the couple's wedding announcement, baseless rumors and unverified claims rapidly circulated online. The legal representative stressed that speculative and sensational content continues to spread, causing serious damage.
Harassment and Online Abuse
Moon-won has also been subjected to abusive comments and direct messages on social media, which his side described as personal attacks that inflicted psychological harm. A formal criminal complaint was filed on August 5, with his team warning that they will continue to respond firmly to any defamatory content or rumor distribution.
Moon-won's Position
Addressing the controversy, Moon-won admitted, "This has become a moment of reflection on my attitude and words. However, malicious rumors are spreading uncontrollably, and many people are being harmed."
Background and Wedding Plans
In June, Shin Ji surprised fans by announcing her marriage through her YouTube channel. However, Moon-won soon faced allegations, including double dating, illegal real estate activity, and past bullying claims. He acknowledged operating without a real estate license and revealed that his previous marriage ended after a premarital pregnancy, but he denied other accusations.
Shin Ji and Moon-won are scheduled to marry in the first half of next year. The couple first met in 2023 on the radio program Single Bungle Show and developed a serious relationship.
