Disaster Thriller Set in 1970
Good News is a disaster thriller set in 1970, revolving around a covert operation to land a plane hijacked by a Japanese communist organization. Sol Kyung-gu portrays the enigmatic problem-solver “Amugae,” assigned by the head of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency, Park Sang-hyun (played by Ryu Seung-beom), to ensure the plane’s safe landing.
Hong Kyung plays Lieutenant Seo Go-myung, who is unexpectedly pulled into the mission. Tasked with deceiving the hijackers and retaking control of the aircraft from the ground, his role becomes a critical part of the high-stakes operation.

Good News has already garnered attention, being officially invited to the “Special Presentation” section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. The film will be available for streaming on Netflix starting October 17.
