Actors Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee have been selected as co-hosts for this year's Buil Film Awards, set to take place at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom on September 18.
Reunion of Iconic Korean Film Faces
Kim and Chun first worked together on the 2017 film One Day and will reunite nearly eight years later as ceremony MCs. Both are prominent figures in Korean cinema, with careers spanning film and television.
Kim Nam-gil has appeared in hit dramas such as Queen Seondeok and the Hot Blooded Priest series, as well as films like No Mercy and Emergency Declaration. Recently, he gained global attention for his role as Officer Lee Do in the Netflix series Trigger. Beyond acting, he actively participates in social contribution projects as an NGO representative.
Chun Woo-hee has showcased versatile acting in dramas like Be Melodramatic and films including Han Gong-ju, Sunny, and Miss & Mrs. Cops. She recently drew acclaim through Netflix's The Eight Show and JTBC's Not a Hero, and will appear in the upcoming drama My Youth.
Celebrating Korean Cinema
The Buil Film Awards is the oldest film awards ceremony in South Korea. This year, 16 categories including Best Film and Best Director will be presented, honoring excellence in Korean cinema.
