CORTIS Drops Choreo Film for 'What You Want,' Tops YouTube Trending Worldwide
by. ymchoi

Rookie boy group CORTIS has made a powerful debut, signaling a strong start with their title track "What You Want" landing No.1 on YouTube's Worldwide Trending chart.

Performance Film Marks Debut

On August 18 at 6 p.m. KST, CORTIS released a conceptual performance film for "What You Want," the lead track of their debut album, through HYBE Labels' YouTube channel. Shot in a single take, the video captures the group dancing in the middle of the Los Angeles desert, presenting their official kick-off to promotions.

Dynamic Visual Storytelling

The performance stood out with its unique staging. CORTIS danced across 35 treadmills, pouring sweat as they visualized the song's core message: the determination to seize what they truly desire without hesitation. The treadmill setup symbolized the countless hours of sweat and practice in studios, now transformed into a stage performance.

Global Chart Domination

The creative concept resonated with fans worldwide. As of 8 p.m. KST, "What You Want" ranked No.1 on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide. The track took the top spot in the U.S., U.K., Russia, Germany, and Indonesia, while charting at No.4 in Brazil, No.7 in France, and No.10 in Peru.

Upcoming Promotions

CORTIS will appear on Mnet's "M Countdown" on August 21, followed by the official release of their debut album on September 8.
