Director Park Chan-wook will attend the 82nd Venice International Film Festival alongside actors Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yum Hye-ran.
World Premiere and Red Carpet Appearance
The team of No Way to Escape will debut the film at the festival's world premiere, with the screening scheduled for 4:45 AM KST on the 30th. Prior to the screening, the cast will walk the red carpet and participate in various official festival events, engaging with global audiences.
Park Chan-wook's Venice Legacy
This marks Park's third invitation to Venice. His 2004 film Three… Extremes screened in the Midnight Express section, while Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005) competed in the feature-length competition, winning the Cinema of the Future Award, Young Lion Award, and Best Innovated Film Award.
This year, Park is aiming for the Golden Lion, the festival's top prize, seeking Korea's first win since Kim Ki-duk's Pietà in 2012.
Film Synopsis
No Way to Escape is a crime thriller that follows an unemployed father as he navigates the high-stakes world of job hunting. The film is set for domestic release next month.
