Cho Yong-pil's upcoming concert achieved a lightning-fast sellout.
28 Years in the Making
The performance, titled KBS Grand Project for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation – Forever This Moment with Cho Yong-pil, will take place at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro, Seoul. Tickets sold out within just three minutes of the first application window, marking the singer's first solo stage in 28 years.
Crackdown on Illegal Resale
Despite the free admission, reports emerged of tickets being sold for hundreds of thousands of won on social media. In response, the production team issued an official warning against illegal resale. "Do not participate in unlawful trading and enjoy the concert safely," they urged.
Enhanced Verification Measures
To prevent scalping, a second identity verification will be conducted upon entry, and legal action will be taken against violators. Seat allocation will shift from first-come-first-served to random assignment, with two rounds of ID checks on the day of the performance.
The production team emphasized that these measures are designed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of as many fans as possible. The concert will also be broadcast on KBS-2TV on October 6.
