BTS is bringing back the thrill of their live performances to ARMYs across the globe.
BigHit Music announced that the group will launch BTS Movie Weeks, a large-scale concert film project to be screened in more than 2,000 theaters across 65 countries and regions from September 24 to October 5.
Four Iconic Concerts on Screen
The lineup includes four milestone performances that capture BTS's journey and unforgettable moments. Fans will relive the group's first-ever KSPO Dome appearance with BTS 2016 Live Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa On Stage: Epilogue, as well as the 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour The Final, which showcased BTS's global breakthrough after their Billboard Music Awards win.
The screenings also feature BTS 2019 World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself London, where BTS became the first Korean act to headline the legendary Wembley Stadium, and the anniversary fan meeting BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo, watched by over 1.33 million fans in 195 countries during the pandemic.
Recreating the Concert Experience
All films have been remastered in 4K ultra-high definition with 5.1 surround sound to deliver a vivid, immersive concert experience. According to organizers, the project aims to revive the emotions and energy of those iconic nights, transforming cinemas into ARMY Bomb-lit arenas.
In Korea, screenings will take place at Megabox theaters from September 23 to October 21, with ticket reservations opening on September 10. A special premiere event is scheduled for September 23 at the Megabox COEX branch.
A New Era Ahead
During the first week, fans can watch the 2016 and 2017 concerts, while the 2019 and 2021 shows will screen in the second week. From weeks three to four, all four films will be available.
Meanwhile, BTS has officially announced the release of a new album and a large-scale world tour set for next spring. The members are currently in the U.S., focusing on music production and tour preparations.
