CatsEye is proving themselves as a true streaming powerhouse, scoring another 200-million-stream track on Spotify.
According to the platform's latest chart (as of August 21), the group's song 'Gnarly' from their second EP has officially surpassed 200 million streams. This marks their second track to reach the milestone, following their debut EP title track 'Touch.' Remarkably, 'Gnarly' hit the number in just 113 days, breaking their own record—'Touch' took 139 days to reach the same achievement.
Global Rise with Record-Breaking Speed
'Gnarly' blends hyper-pop with dance and punk influences, while its psychedelic music video and powerful performances captivated global listeners. Its faster climb compared to 'Touch' highlights CatsEye's accelerating popularity on the international stage.
The group isn't stopping there. Other fan-favorite tracks like 'Gabriela' and 'Debut' are also approaching the 200-million mark. Notably, 'Gabriela' already surpassed 100 million streams within just 28 days, outpacing even 'Gnarly' (52 days), raising anticipation for yet another record-breaking moment.
EP Success and Fan Engagement
CatsEye's second EP continues to soar in streaming numbers, with total plays surpassing 460 million and daily streams exceeding 5 million. The group is not only climbing the charts but also solidifying their presence in the global music market.
Meanwhile, CatsEye is set to reconnect with Korean fans through a fan signing event in Seoul on August 22—their first domestic fan meeting in three months.
