A New Word with a Dreamy Meaning

The song title XOXZ is a neologism created by IVE, combining the English expression XOXO (hugs and kisses) with the letter Z to represent sleep. A source explained that the term conveys the message, "I love you, sleep well, see you in my dreams," with member Jang Wonyoung contributing to the lyrics to enhance the song's emotional depth.

The group aims to express a variety of contrasting feelings—surface versus depth, good versus mischievous, elegance versus playfulness—within a single concept, showing how opposing emotions can coexist seamlessly.

IVE released a music video teaser on August 22, creating an otherworldly, dreamlike atmosphere with performances on a moving trailer truck. The upcoming mini-album contains six tracks, including Wild Bird, Dear, My Feelings, Gotcha, and Beep Beep. Midnight Kiss features lyrics co-written by member Liz, adding a personal touch to the release.
