Eunho of YOUNITE nearly experienced sexual harassment from an overseas fan.
On August 18, YOUNITE performed at the 18th Korean Culture Day event in São Paulo, Brazil, receiving enthusiastic cheers from attendees.
After the performance, an unexpected incident occurred. A female fan broke through security, grabbed Eunho's shoulder, and tried to forcibly kiss him. Eunho turned his head in time, preventing the situation from escalating. He appeared startled but was quickly escorted from the scene by security.
The organizers of Korean Culture Day issued a statement condemning the act:
"We deeply regret the sexual harassment attempt in which a fan tried to forcibly kiss an artist. No form of sexual misconduct can ever be tolerated. We strongly condemn any behavior that infringes upon personal dignity and safety."
Eunho's agency, Brand New Music, also released a statement, emphasizing that recent excessive fan approaches have caused safety incidents threatening the artist. They urged fans to maintain a safe distance and cooperate to ensure a healthy fan culture.
YOUNITE, an 8-member boy group, released their second single, BOMBA, on August 4.
