JYP Entertainment has officially debuted a new Chinese boy group, "Penfu Boys CIIU," positioned as juniors to He Xinlong from Boys Planet 2.

Debut and Concept

JYP China announced on August 26 that Penfu Boys CIIU released their first EP Our Departure (我们的出发). The group name, "CIIU," symbolizes the promise to reach fans no matter the distance. Formed as part of JYP's localization strategy, the six-member lineup includes Luo Yan, Li Sijie, Huang Yuanjin, Bai Yuanhao, Wang Tianyi, and Liu Zhexing.

The EP features six tracks, including the lead single Summer of Departure, capturing youthful courage, dreams, and the excitement of new beginnings. Summer of Departure blends refreshing guitar sounds with energetic drum beats, delivering a message of moving forward without hesitation.

Early Reception and Performances

The group quickly drew attention, with Summer of Departure ranking 6th on QQ Music's daily popularity chart on August 23. Penfu Boys CIIU debuted live at the 2025 TIMA stage on August 22, performing alongside producer Park Jin-young with the track Honey. They followed up two days later at the 2025 TMEA, further connecting with fans across Greater China.

Upcoming Activities

Penfu Boys CIIU will continue promotions with the variety show Where Shall We Run Today? Season 2 and a showcase in partnership with Wanda Group's Wanda Mall, marking the start of their journey in the Chinese entertainment scene.
