The OST Golden from Netflix's K-Pop Demon Hunters (KDH) has returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, cementing its global impact.
Billboard Chart Triumph
On August 26, Billboard previewed its latest chart (dated August 30), confirming Golden's rise to number one on the Hot 100. The track initially entered the chart at 81 on July 3 and steadily climbed—23, 6, 4, 2—reaching the top position on the August 16 chart. It had slipped to second place last week behind American singer-songwriter Alex Warren's debut single Ordinary, but reclaimed the summit this week.
Billboard noted that Golden now holds the Hot 100 top spot for a second week, supported by a combination of streaming, radio airplay, and sales data. Between August 15–21, the song recorded 33.8 million official U.S. streams, a 3% increase from the previous week, and maintained five consecutive weeks at number one on the Streaming Songs chart.
KDH OST Domination
Other tracks from the same OST also performed strongly: Your Idol by Lion Boys and Soda Pop ranked fourth and fifth respectively, while HuntRix's How It's Done reached tenth. In total, four KDH OST tracks simultaneously entered the Hot 100 top 10—a first in Billboard history—highlighting the unprecedented global influence of the series' music.
