Blackpink's Jennie has reinforced her popularity in North America with new achievements.
RIAA Certifications
On the 27th (KST), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) updated its Gold & Platinum certification list. Gold represents 500,000 units, Platinum 1 million, Multi-Platinum 2 million, and Diamond 10 million units sold.
Jennie earned Gold certification for her first pre-release solo single Mantra and the title track of her first full-length album, Like JENNIE. With three certified tracks in total, she now holds the record for the most RIAA-certified songs by a K-pop solo artist. Previously, she received Platinum certification for One of the Girls.
Milestones and Billboard Presence
Her album Ruby set a new milestone in K-pop history, selling 660,000 copies in its first week—the highest debut for a K-pop female artist this year. Jennie has also placed five songs on the U.S. Billboard main singles chart, including Like JENNIE, Mantra, Love Hangover, Extra L, and Handlebar.
