JTBC has unveiled the official poster for its upcoming weekend drama A Hundred Memories, starring Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-jun. The series depicts the radiant yet bittersweet emotions of first love set in the 1980s.
Storyline
The drama follows Young-rye (Kim Da-mi), a bus attendant on Seoul's iconic 100 line during the 1980s, and her close friend Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun). Their friendship is tested as they both encounter the same man, Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun), leading to a delicate mix of affection, longing, and destiny.
Poster Concept
The poster evokes the look of vintage film photography, highlighting the nostalgic atmosphere of a bygone era. It emphasizes the intensity of fleeting youth—moments that cannot be relived but remain deeply cherished. The interplay of emotions among the three characters hints at a love triangle shaped by friendship, fate, and youthful yearning.
Cast Insights
Kim Da-mi described Young-rye's relationships as more than friendship or romance, calling them "soulmates bound by something deeper." Shin Ye-eun noted that to Jong-hee, Young-rye was "the only person she could trust, her everything," while Jae-pil stirred emotions she could not control. Heo Nam-jun added that Young-rye made Jae-pil "shine brightest," while Jong-hee was the first person who awakened his sense of love.
Production Note
The production team emphasized that "friendship and first love remain timeless themes of youth" and promised to revive the poignant emotions of the 1980s through this coming-of-age story.
A Hundred Memories will premiere on September 14 at 10:40 p.m. KST, following Esquire: Lawyers Who Dream of Becoming Lawyers.
