THE8 of SEVENTEEN has released a surprise self-composed song, drawing inspiration from the cosmos.

New Single "Star Crossing Night"

On August 29 at 11 AM KST, THE8 dropped his digital single "Star Crossing Night" on China's Soda Music, under the Douyin platform. The track reflects a narrator reminiscing about past love, with lyrics and composition inspired by the night sky and shooting stars.

Collaboration and Global Project

The song features Chinese rapper Gally, who placed third on iQIYI's Rap of China 2020, adding a dreamy layer to THE8's vocals. The project was part of a collaboration with multiple global brands, including Douyin and the UK magazine Wonderland. A concept short in the form of a music film will follow, and the song will be available on major international music platforms starting August 30.

THE8's Musical Journey

Beyond group releases, THE8 has previously delivered Chinese digital singles such as "Dreams Come True," "Falling Down," "Side by Side," and "Comet." Last year, he released his first Chinese EP STARDUST, crediting himself on all tracks, showcasing his singer-songwriter skills.

He will also headline the YJ Music Festival in Beijing on September 20–21, performing his new single live for fans.
