G-Dragon has drawn international media attention as he continues his third world tour, Übermensch.
The singer kicked off the tour in March in South Korea before performing in Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, and Melbourne. After completing his Asia and Oceania stops, he recently began the North American leg with two shows in Newark on August 22–23, receiving overwhelming fan support.
U.S. media also highlighted his return. On August 29, Forbes published an article titled "8 Things to Expect From G-Dragon's Übermensch World Tour in North America." The outlet emphasized that this tour holds special meaning, marking his first solo tour in eight years.
The report noted that longtime fans would find deep significance in his comeback, while newer K-pop listeners could experience the charisma and showmanship of "one of Korea's most influential artists." Forbes further described G-Dragon as "the emperor of K-pop," adding that he has returned with greater self-awareness and maturity, redefining success on his own terms.
Following Newark, G-Dragon is scheduled to perform in Las Vegas on September 1, then head to Los Angeles and Paris as the tour continues.
