Singer and musical actor Kim Junsu proved his enduring popularity in Japan with his recent fan concerts.
Kim Junsu held XIA 2025 JAPAN FAN CONCERT: Journey to You on August 29 in Osaka and August 31 in Yokohama. Despite a nearly two-year hiatus, all four shows sold out, reflecting the intense anticipation from fans. The concert title itself highlighted his appreciation for Japanese fans who have supported him over the years.
The performances featured a diverse mix of dance and ballad numbers, including hits like Hana and Color Me In. Kim Junsu's live skills were showcased through fan favorites such as Xitizen, Fantasy, These Days, and The 21st Season Will Wait for You. His Japanese track Eternal also received a warm response, and the Yokohama show included additional musical numbers, offering unique setlists for each location.
He engaged with fans through various segments, sharing aspects of his daily life and hobbies, including travel and camping, which drew enthusiastic reactions from the audience.
Kim Junsu said, "I wanted to create a special moment for fans who have waited so long. Being able to meet them up close in Japan made me very happy." He promised fans that he would do his best to see them again as soon as possible.
The concerts ended with encore performances, including Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ), which Kim Junsu sang together with fans to create memorable moments.
Looking ahead, Kim Junsu will perform as Aladdin in the musical Aladdin at Busan Dream Theater until August 28, and will hold his solo concert Chapter 2: Festa at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from October 9 to 12.
