A woman in her 40s has been apprehended after illegally entering BTS member Jungkook's residence in Yongsan, Seoul.
According to police, the incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on August 30 when the woman, identified as A, followed a vehicle into Jungkook's apartment complex. She was caught in the underground parking lot at around 12:02 a.m. on August 31.
Jungkook addressed the situation directly during a Weverse live broadcast on September 1. "I was watching everything through the CCTV," he explained. "She opened the door when there was noise in the parking lot, and the police were standing right there."
He added, "I heard she claimed to be my friend. ARMYs are like family and friends to me, but that was really disheartening. I appreciate the support, but this is not it."
Jungkook then issued a firm warning: "Please don't come. If you step into my building's parking lot without permission, you won't be able to get out unless I open the door. Everything is recorded. If you don't want to end up at the police station, don't come in."
Police confirmed that A admitted to the act and was questioned before being released. Authorities are considering whether to forward the case to prosecutors.
This isn't the first time Jungkook has faced such an incident. Back in June, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to enter his home by repeatedly pressing the keypad on his front door. She was indicted without detention on charges of attempted trespassing late last month.
