Kim Chaewon of LE SSERAFIM has been selected to sing the theme song for a new Netflix Japan series.
A Classic Song Reimagined
On September 2, Netflix Japan announced through social media that Kim will perform Confession, the soundtrack for the upcoming drama Romantics Anonymous. The song, originally released in 1999 by Korean singer Park Hye-kyung, became a hit for its tender portrayal of unspoken love and sweet vocal tone.
Kim's version will be a Japanese remake, blending the original's emotional core with her clear tone and refined delivery. This marks the first time she has recorded a drama OST on her own. Kim shared, "Confession is a song I've often listened to. I'm truly happy to sing it, and I can't wait for everyone to hear it."
Preview in Drama Teaser
Portions of her rendition can already be heard in the teaser for Romantics Anonymous, heightening global anticipation despite the short preview. Fans have expressed excitement at Kim's ability to reinterpret a beloved classic in a fresh context.
Ongoing Group Activities
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM is currently on their world tour. Starting September 4 (KST) in Newark, the group will embark on their first North American tour, continuing their international promotions.
