Singer SoHyang has publicly revealed that she finalized her divorce two years ago.
KQ Entertainment issued a statement on September 3, emphasizing that the separation was based on mutual respect and discussion. "SoHyang and her ex-partner agreed to support each other's individual paths," the agency said.
The agency clarified that neither party was at fault in the dissolution of the marriage. "This was a mutual decision, not due to any one person's responsibility," they added.
KQ Entertainment also assured fans of continued support: "We will do everything to help SoHyang focus on her music career. We ask for ongoing encouragement for her future activities."
SoHyang married a member of the CCM (Christian music) band POS in 1998. After 25 years together, the couple decided to part ways in 2023 due to personality differences.
SoHyang is widely recognized as "Korea's Mariah Carey" for her powerful vocals. Recently, she gained attention for covering the OST "Golden" from the Netflix film K-pop Demon Hunters.
KQ Entertainment's full statement urges media and fans to avoid distorted or reckless reporting and comments, reaffirming their commitment to supporting SoHyang's musical endeavors.
