Actor Park Jung-min is making his long-awaited comeback to the stage.

On September 4, production company S&CO announced the cast for the Korean premiere of the play "Life of Pi," revealing that Park Jung-min has been double-cast alongside Park Kang-hyun for the role of Pi.

A Global Bestseller Comes to Life

Based on Yann Martel's internationally acclaimed novel "Life of Pi," the play first premiered in London's West End in 2021. The story follows a boy who, after a tragic accident, becomes stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He must survive 227 days on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

Park Jung-min's Long-Awaited Stage Return

Park Jung-min will take on the role of Pi, a curious and inquisitive boy who constantly questions the world around him. This marks his first theater appearance in eight years since "Romeo and Juliet." Known for his versatile acting in both film and television, Park is expected to bring a fresh, distinctive energy to the production.

A Star-Studded Cast

Alongside Park Jung-min and Park Kang-hyun, the cast includes Seo Hyun-chul, Hwang Man-ik, Joo Ah, Song In-sung, Jin Sang-hyun, Jung Ho-jun, Lim Min-young, and Kim Ji-hye. A total of 27 actors were selected through open auditions, ensuring a dynamic and diverse ensemble.

The Korean premiere of "Life of Pi" is set to open on December 2 at GS Art Center.
