aespa has proven their global power with the release of their sixth mini album Rich Man on September 5.
Global Chart Success
The album topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 14 regions, including Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. It also entered the Top 10 in 29 regions such as the United States, France, Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Belgium.
In China, Rich Man ranked No.1 on QQ Music's overall and EP digital album sales charts, earning Platinum certification for surpassing 1 million yuan in sales. It also claimed No.1 on QQ Music's Trend Peak chart and Korean music video chart. The album further secured the top spot on Kugou Music's digital album sales chart, Tencent Music's K-pop chart, and Japan's AWA real-time rising chart.
Album Highlights and Message
Rich Man showcases aespa's versatility, blending hip-hop, R&B, and pop, with the title track delivering a powerful rock band sound. In an interview with UK media outlet NME, the group shared that the album's message emphasizes self-confidence and belief rather than material wealth.
Karina highlighted the lyric, "Meet someone who will do everything for you," explaining, "That 'someone' is yourself. Because I love and trust myself, I am the 'Rich Man.'"
