Actors Kang Tae-oh and Kim Sejeong will lead MBC's new weekend drama The Moon Flows Over the Yigang, a fantasy romance set in the Joseon era.
A Royal Prince and a Merchant with Lost Memories
The drama tells the story of a crown prince who has forgotten how to smile and a traveling merchant who has lost fragments of her memory. Their souls accidentally switch, leading to a mix of romance, conflict, and destiny.
Kang Tae-oh plays Crown Prince Lee Gang, who outwardly appears reckless and indulgent but carries deep wounds from losing a loved one amid palace power struggles. Kim Sejeong takes on the role of Park Dal, a merchant who has adapted to life on the road despite missing parts of her past. With her witty and playful charm, she brings energy to the storyline.
Romance and Tension Unfold
The drama follows the dynamic relationship between two characters from completely different worlds. Their bickering, growth, and gradual bond are expected to deliver both humor and heartfelt emotion.
The supporting cast includes Lee Shin-young as Prince Je-un, Lee Gang's ambitious cousin; Hong Soo-joo as Kim Woo-hee, a woman driven by desire; and Jin Goo as Kim Han-chul, a figure of absolute power.

Producers shared, "From the very first script reading, the cast showed remarkable synergy. Their diverse performances will bring depth and entertainment to the drama."
