Netflix's K-pop Demon Hunters continues its historic run on the Billboard Hot 100.
On September 8, Billboard released its latest chart (dated September 13), confirming that the OST track Golden remains at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Defying Expectations
Industry watchers predicted Sabrina Carpenter's comeback might end Golden's streak. However, the song held strong, outperforming Alex Warren's Ordinary and Carpenter's Tears. This marks its third consecutive week at No. 1 and fourth overall, breaking BTS's Dynamite record for non-consecutive weeks atop the chart.
K-pop's Historic Achievement
Only two K-pop songs have topped the Hot 100 for four or more weeks: BTS's Butter (10 weeks) and Golden. Beyond the Hot 100, the track dominates other Billboard charts as well. It has held No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart for seven straight weeks and secured back-to-back wins on the Digital Song Sales chart after debuting at No. 1 last week.
Climbing the Ranks
Since debuting at No. 81, Golden has steadily climbed: 23 → 6 → 4 → 2 → 1 → 2 → 1. It has now stayed on the Hot 100 for 11 consecutive weeks. Other K-pop Demon Hunters OST tracks also remain strong, with Your Idol and Soda Pop ranking No. 5 and No. 6, and How It's Done holding steady at No. 9.
