Actor Jung Il-woo has stepped into the role of film investor, selecting "Together" (director Michael Shanks) as his first project.
"Together" is a horror-romance exploring the boundaries of a long-term relationship. The story follows a couple who, after moving into a new home, experience a strange phenomenon where their bodies gradually merge. The film premiered on September 3.
Jung commented, "This is a unique work combining romance and body horror that questions the essence of love and relationships. Its powerful message and experimental approach make it particularly meaningful as my first investment."
He plans to continue his journey as a film investor. A representative noted, "Jung Il-woo will introduce fresh and distinctive works to Korean audiences with his keen insight."
Jung remains active as an actor. Since last month, he has been leading the weekend drama "Splendid Days" on KBS-2TV as Lee Ji-hyuk, and he also appeared in the Korean-Vietnamese co-production "Going to Abandon Mom" (director Mo Hong-jin).
