Japanese animated film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Train Arc (Director Haruo Sotozaki) has surpassed 4 million ticket sales in South Korea.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office data, the film reached 4.01 million cumulative viewers as of September 8, marking its 18th day since release. On that day alone, 54,196 moviegoers watched the film, which has maintained the number one spot at the box office for 18 consecutive days since its domestic premiere on August 22.
This achievement places Demon Slayer as the third highest-grossing Japanese animated film in South Korea, surpassing Makoto Shinkai's Your Name, which previously held the position with 3.93 million viewers. The film continues to show strong performance.
Following Demon Slayer, The Murderer's Report (Director Jo Young-jun) ranked second with 20,686 viewers nationwide, attracting audiences with its suspenseful closed-room narrative. The Conjuring: The Last Rite (Director Michael Chavez) and F1: The Movie (Director Joseph Kosinski) followed, each drawing over 10,000 viewers.
Demon Slayer is based on the popular manga of the same name and depicts the epic battles between the Demon Slayer Corps and powerful demons.
