Actor Lee Jun-young is set to take on a new challenge, portraying two distinct characters in JTBC's upcoming drama New Employee Chairman Kang (written by Hyun Ji-min, directed by Go Hye-jin). He will transform from a passionate young man to a seasoned businessman.
Office Fantasy with a Twist
New Employee Chairman Kang is an office fantasy drama that follows the story of Chairman Kang Yong-ho of Choi Sung Group and soccer player Hwang Jun-hyun, whose souls mysteriously swap. Lee Jun-young will play both Kang Yong-ho and Hwang Jun-hyun. The drama kicks off as Hwang Jun-hyun joins FC Choi Sung in the first division but immediately experiences an accident, resulting in a body swap with Kang Yong-ho.
From Soccer Dreams to Corporate Success
Kang Yong-ho, who elevated Choi Sung Group to the 10th rank in the industry, now occupies Hwang Jun-hyun's healthy body. Instead of pursuing his original dream of the Premier League, Hwang navigates the corporate world as a new employee, utilizing his innate business sense to excel and make a mark in the company.
Insiders shared, "Lee Jun-young will showcase his versatile acting skills, surprising viewers with a fresh and dynamic portrayal."
The drama's creator is renowned writer Kim Soon-ok, known for Penthouse and Temptation of Wife. The original story comes from the web novel New Employee Chairman Kang, penned by author San-gyeong, known for Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family.
New Employee Chairman Kang is scheduled to air next year.
