\G-Dragon extended a heartfelt tribute to everyday heroes during his third world tour "Übermensch" in North America. The singer held concerts in New York on August 22–23, Las Vegas on August 31, and Los Angeles on September 5–6, where he welcomed local firefighters and their families as special guests.
The invitation was organized by the Justice Foundation, where G-Dragon serves as honorary chairman. In New York, members of the city's fire department attended, receiving recognition for their service despite the risks of PTSD from battling wildfires, floods, and other disasters. This initiative was part of the foundation's "Post-Disaster PTSD Art Healing Project," which uses art to support emotional recovery.
Beyond the Stage: Expanding Compassion
The guest list also included community volunteers, social workers, and staff from nonprofit organizations, invited in partnership with Good Neighbors USA. Survivors living in shelters after experiencing violence were likewise welcomed, offering them solace and hope through cultural engagement.
One attendee shared a moving message: "As someone living with trauma from violence, this concert was a life-changing experience. 'Übermensch' means fully embracing who I am, and thanks to G-Dragon and Good Neighbors, I discovered a better version of myself."
The Meaning of "Übermensch"
G-Dragon's tour is themed around surpassing personal limits and striving toward a higher self. For him, true "Übermensch" is not only about individual growth but also about dedicating oneself to others. His foundation previously invited Paralympic athletes to his Asia concerts, and similar outreach projects will continue to accompany the tour worldwide.
The Justice Foundation, launched by G-Dragon last year, continues to focus on public welfare projects, highlighting social responsibility alongside artistry.
