IU has soared to the top of music charts with her latest single.
On September 10, the singer released her digital track Bye, Summer without prior notice, gifting fans with a song that captures the emotions of late summer.
Chart-Topping Success
The response was immediate. Bye, Summer entered major domestic charts including Melon, Bugs, and Genie. It quickly rose to No. 1 on Melon's "Hot 100" and Bugs' real-time chart.
International fans also embraced the release. The song debuted at No. 47 on the iTunes Worldwide Top Songs chart, reaching No. 1 in Taiwan and No. 2 in Hong Kong.
A Fan-Favorite Finally Released
IU first performed Bye, Summer during her Seoul World Cup Stadium tour last September. Her lyrical vocals and the song's sentimental mood led to repeated fan requests for an official release, which has now been fulfilled.
Upcoming Fan Event
IU will host a fan meetup titled Bye, Summer on September 13–14 at KSPO Dome, giving fans a chance to experience the song and celebrate together.
