Actress Jeon Yeo-bin is stepping into her first-ever title role with the Genie TV original drama Good Woman Boo Semi, premiering September 29 at 10 p.m. on ENA. The series blends crime and romance, spotlighting Jeon as Kim Young-ran, a weary bodyguard entangled in a dangerous deal.
A Double Life Begins
Young-ran is portrayed as a woman hardened by a difficult life—void of smiles, constantly on guard, and wary of those around her. After being hired as a bodyguard for Gaseong Group, she receives an irresistible proposal from chairman Gaseong-ho (played by Moon Sung-keun): to live under a false identity for three months, committing a crime that will change her life.
Dreaming of one big break, she enters a contract marriage with the terminally ill chairman. Adopting the new identity of Boo Semi, she finds herself leading a life completely opposite from her past—refined, charming, and socially admired. For three months, she must evade those seeking the chairman's fortune while struggling to maintain her disguise.
Two Faces, One Actress
Jeon Yeo-bin will showcase dual sides of the same character: the rough, guarded Kim Young-ran and the sophisticated Boo Semi. As part of her cover, she even works as a kindergarten teacher in a quiet village, adding layers to her transformation.
