by. ymchoi

Uiju and Maki of boy group NTeam are set to make their debut on the baseball field.

The two will step onto the mound at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on September 16 during the Doosan Bears vs. Kiwoom Heroes game. Uiju will take the pitcher's role with the ceremonial first pitch, while Maki will step up to the plate as the batter.

First-Ever First Pitch and First Hit

Uiju shared his excitement through XY Labels, saying, "As a longtime Doosan Bears fan, it's an honor to throw the first pitch. I'll send positive energy so the players can deliver a great game without injuries."

Maki added, "I'm happy to join as the batter alongside Uiju. I'll do my best to bring good luck as the team's victory charm."

NTeam's Rising Popularity

NTeam, a HYBE-label group that debuted in Japan in 2022, has been gaining momentum. Their third single "Go in Blind" topped both the Oricon daily and weekly charts and earned a "Million" certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. They also sold out their recent solo concert at Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium.

This ceremonial pitch and hit marks an important moment for NTeam, as they prepare for their official Korean debut. The event will serve as a special chance to connect with domestic fans, with the members practicing diligently to deliver an unforgettable moment.

The group will launch their first mini-album Back to Life on October 28, officially beginning their activities in Korea.
