PLAVE is bringing their Japanese debut song to Korean fans with a new release.
The virtual idol group unveiled their digital single Hide and Seek on September 15 at 6 p.m. KST. The track is the Korean-language version of Kakurenbo (かくれんぼ), which originally marked their Japanese debut in June.
From Japan to Korea
Kakurenbo showcased PLAVE's signature uplifting band sound with a Japanese twist. Its lyrics metaphorically captured youth running on parallel lines, filled with fleeting yet nostalgic memories.
Record-Breaking Reception
The single proved its impact in Japan, selling over 220,000 copies in its first week — the highest first-week sales for an overseas artist's release at the time. In Korea, the Japanese version also made waves, entering Melon's "Hall of Fame" after surpassing one million streams within 24 hours, the first Japanese track to achieve such a milestone.
Expanding Their Stage
Now, PLAVE is preparing to meet global fans face-to-face. Their first Asia tour, DASH: Quantum Leap, kicks off in Hong Kong on October 1, followed by stops in Jakarta, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
With Hide and Seek, PLAVE continues to strengthen their bridge between Korean and Japanese audiences, giving fans around the world more reasons to connect with their music.
