Actor Oh Seung-yoon successfully wrapped up the 10th-anniversary run of the musical Again, Zoo. The final performance took place on September 13 at Dongduk Women's University's Cotton Hall, marking the end of a three-month journey.
A Tribute to Kim Kwang-seok
Oh played the role of "That Friend," an unnamed character representing the late Korean singer-songwriter Kim Kwang-seok. He shared with Dispatch on the 15th, "Performing in the 10th-anniversary show with such incredible actors was moving, but it also came with pressure."
He recalled preparing for the production earlier this year. "When I revisited Again, Zoo in May, I felt pure excitement about returning to the stage and began rehearsing with joy," he said. To honor Kim's iconic connection with the guitar, Oh devoted himself to mastering the instrument. "Morning, evening, even late at night—I practiced endlessly," he added.

Audience Praise and Rediscovery
The effort paid off, earning him enthusiastic praise. With delicate emotion, steady vocals, and live guitar skills, he delivered heartfelt performances of songs like "On the Street," "Tree," and "I'll Love You." Critics hailed his turn as a "rediscovery," highlighting his ability to capture the essence of Korea's folk music legacy.
Oh said, "I approached this project with a different mindset than before. Over time, I felt myself becoming one with the character. I'm grateful we made it safely to the final curtain call." He added heartfelt thanks: "To every audience member, director, staff, and fellow actor—I sincerely appreciate your love and support."

A Journey of Nearly Three Decades
Again, Zoo dramatizes the origins of the band Zoo, founded by Kim Chang-gi, Yoo Jun-yeol, Park Ki-young, Park Kyung-chan, and the late Kim Kwang-seok.
This year marks Oh Seung-yoon's 29th year in the industry since debuting in 1996 with the film Mackerel Run. He has appeared in popular dramas such as Magic Kid Masuri, Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin, Capital Scandal, and The Legend.
He also recently showcased his singing abilities on MBC's King of Mask Singer, performing as "Mole" with a touching rendition of "Sang-Sa-Hwa," proving his emotional vocal delivery on a national stage.
