Netflix's K-pop Demon Hunters has set another unprecedented milestone, crossing the 300 million view mark worldwide.
Record-Breaking Achievement
According to Netflix's official site Tudum, the film reached 314.2 million cumulative views as of September 17 (KST), calculated by dividing total watch hours by runtime. It is now the only Netflix title to surpass 300 million views, outpacing global phenomenon Squid Game Season 1, which logged 265.2 million views.
Netflix tallies viewership over the first 91 days of release, and K-pop Demon Hunters still has three days left before its tracking period closes on September 20, meaning its final number could rise even higher.
Consistent Global Popularity
Despite being in its 13th week since the June premiere, the animated film continues to top charts. It currently ranks No. 1 in Netflix's "Global Top 10" English Films category and has entered the Top 10 in 93 countries and regions, including the U.S., U.K., Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Spain, France, and Singapore.
Unique Concept Resonates
The movie blends K-pop culture with supernatural fantasy. It follows Huntrix, a girl group who double as demon hunters, as they face off against their rivals Saja Boys. The mix of music, action, and vibrant storytelling has resonated strongly with global viewers, fueling repeat watches and social buzz.
K-pop Demon Hunters' trajectory raises the question: just how far can this record-setting film go?
