(G)I-DLE's Yuqi has made a powerful solo debut, sweeping both domestic and overseas music charts.

On September 16, Yuqi released her first single "Motivation." The album immediately hit No. 1 on the daily "Digital Album Best Seller" charts of China's QQ Music and Kugou Music.

The title track "M.O." and the pre-release song "It Hurts" also received warm responses from local listeners, ranking high on QQ Music's "Music Video Comprehensive" chart.

Her global momentum is strong as well. "M.O." entered the iTunes charts in eight countries and regions, while "It Hurts" placed in two territories.

In Korea, Yuqi's solo track is enjoying explosive popularity. As of 7 a.m. on September 17, "M.O." ranked No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart, while both songs entered Melon's 30-day "Hot 100."

"M.O." is a 1990s boom bap–inspired hip-hop track written and composed by Yuqi herself. The lyrics capture the idea that instinctive conviction becomes the driving force to move forward.

Meanwhile, Yuqi is set to perform on Mnet's "M Countdown" on September 18.
