IU celebrated her debut anniversary with a meaningful act of giving.

On September 18, EDAM Entertainment announced that IU donated a total of 200 million KRW under the name "IUANA" (a combination of IU and her fandom UAENA). The donation was made to four organizations, with 50 million KRW each going to the Korea Foundation for Persons with Disabilities, Make-A-Wish Korea, Heart-Heart Foundation, and the Korea Senior Welfare Foundation.

The funds will support children with critical illnesses, people with disabilities, young adults preparing for independence, and senior citizens living alone.

IU has consistently practiced philanthropy under her and her fans' name on her debut anniversary and birthday each year. In March, she donated 200 million KRW to aid wildfire recovery in the Gyeongsang region and to improve working conditions for firefighters. On Children's Day in May, she gave 150 million KRW to support children and youth, and on her birthday, she donated 200 million KRW to vulnerable communities.

Most recently, IU released her surprise single Bye, Summer on September 10 and wrapped up a fan meetup of the same name on September 13–14. She is currently filming her new drama 21st Century Lady Daegun.
