The hit webtoon Solo Leveling is coming to life in a whole new way—on ice.
Production company Live Arena announced on the 19th that the stage adaptation, titled Solo Leveling on ICE, will premiere this winter, revealing its official cast lineup.
The show reimagines the webtoon as an action-packed ice musical, recreating its intense battle scenes through a mix of skating and live performance.
iKON's Jinhwan has been cast as the lead, Sung Jin-Woo. With prior experience in ice hockey, he is set to deliver both powerful vocals and striking performances on the ice.
tripleS member Kim Chaeyeon will play Jin-Woo's younger sister. A former child actor and former host of Live Talk! Boni Hani, she will be making her musical debut through this production.
Musical actor Choi Woo-hyuk joins the lineup as Yoo Jin-Ho, the heir of Yoojin Construction, while national figure skating stars also step into key roles—Kim Ye-lim as Cha Hae-In and current national athlete Lee Si-hyeong as Igris. Japanese skaters will also participate in the international cast.
Behind the scenes, a team of seasoned creators leads the project, including director Woo Jin-ha, writer Park Chan-min, choreographers Shin Sun-ho and Kim Hae-jin, and composer Lee Kang-hyun.
Producers shared, "By blending ice performance with musical theater, we aim to capture the essence of the original story in a way audiences have never seen before."
Solo Leveling on ICE will run from December 24 to 31 at Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul.
