TWS Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters — "No Leniency for Repeated Defamation"
by. ymchoi

PLEDIS Entertainment has announced strong measures against online harassment targeting TWS.

The agency shared an official statement on Weverse, confirming that malicious posts and defamatory comments directed at the group have been on the rise. "We are currently pursuing legal action," the company said.

Evidence was gathered through internal monitoring and fan reports across domestic communities, music platforms, and international social media channels. PLEDIS specifically highlighted issues on the platform X, where certain members have been subjected to repeated insults and personal attacks.

Firm stance on accountability

The agency confirmed it has requested identity disclosure through overseas courts in order to proceed with charges. "There will be no settlements or leniency," PLEDIS stressed. "We will continue to collect evidence thoroughly and ensure that those responsible are held strictly accountable, even if the process takes time."

K-pop companies have increasingly taken legal routes to protect artists against malicious online activity, reflecting the industry's commitment to safeguarding idols' well-being as global fandoms expand.
