Seungmin of Stray Kids has marked his birthday with a meaningful act of generosity, donating 100 million won to support children facing family care responsibilities.
Donation to Green Umbrella Foundation
On September 22, the Green Umbrella Child Fund Korea announced that Seungmin had donated 100 million won. The funds will be directed toward its Family Care Children Support Program, which provides emergency living expenses, stability assistance, self-reliance programs, and educational support for children burdened with family responsibilities.
Seungmin shared his hope for the donation, saying, "I wish that children who must endure hardships at such a young age for their families could, even briefly, put down the burdens they carry in their hearts."
Consistent Acts of Kindness
This is not Seungmin's first time giving back. Last year, he donated the same amount to support young adults preparing for independence through the foundation. Earlier this year, in April, Stray Kids collectively donated 800 million won to aid wildfire relief efforts in Ulsan, showing the group's ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
Upcoming World Tour
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will continue their global activities with the upcoming world tour DOMINATE: CELEBRATE, holding shows at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on October 18–19.
Seungmin's latest donation further highlights his growing reputation as an artist spreading positive influence beyond the stage.
