Park Jinyoung of GOT7 has celebrated his birthday with a meaningful act of generosity, donating 100 million won to provide meals for children from underprivileged families.
Donation to Save the Children
On September 22, international NGO Save the Children announced that Park Jinyoung contributed 100 million won toward meal support for children in need. He is a member of the organization's "Honors Club," which recognizes major donors.
Park expressed gratitude, saying, "I believe I can continue moving forward because of the love and support from so many fans. I've often thought about how I could give back the love I've received."
He added, "I'm thankful to be able to take part in protecting children's smiles, even in a small way. I will continue to work hard in acting and singing with sincerity."
Warm Meals for Children in Need
The donation will be used ahead of the Chuseok holiday to provide special meals to low-income children, especially those at risk of skipping meals due to care gaps at home.
Consistent Philanthropy
This is not the first time Park Jinyoung has extended a helping hand. In February 2023, he donated 30 million won for emergency relief following the Türkiye-Syria earthquake, and in April 2024, he contributed the same amount to support children and families affected by the Myanmar earthquake.
Busy Acting Career
Beyond music, Park Jinyoung continues to build his acting career. He starred in tvN's Mysterious Seoul as Lee Ho-soo earlier this year and is currently filming JTBC's Shining. He has also been cast as the lead in tvN's upcoming weekend drama 100 Days of Lies.
With his philanthropic efforts and active career, Park Jinyoung is showing both artistic growth and a commitment to meaningful social impact.
