HYBE is strengthening its global footprint with the launch of a new branch in India.

Fifth Overseas Headquarters

On September 23, the company confirmed the establishment of HYBE India, officially registered this month in Mumbai. This marks HYBE's fifth overseas hub, following HYBE Japan, HYBE America, HYBE Latin America, and HYBE China.

The move is part of the company's long-term "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy. By adapting its K-pop production system to local markets, HYBE aims to discover and nurture top-tier artists within India while connecting them to the global stage.

Why India?

India represents one of the world's largest cultural frontiers, with a population of approximately 1.46 billion and over 185 million streaming platform users—the second-largest base after the United States.

Interest in Korean music is also surging. According to the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, K-pop streaming in India grew 365% between 2018 and 2023, highlighting the country's rapidly expanding fan base.

Mission and Future Plans

HYBE India has adopted the mission statement: "When India's voice becomes the world's story." The subsidiary intends to discover talented local artists, train them under HYBE's structured system, and support their entry into the global market.

Plans include nationwide auditions, structured artist development programs, and increased support for existing HYBE artists expanding activities in the Indian market.

With this bold step, HYBE continues to reinforce its global leadership in music and entertainment, positioning India as a key hub in its worldwide strategy.
