Jimin of BTS has once again lived up to his reputation as a "donation angel," contributing 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000 USD) to provide scholarships for students in Jeonbuk.

A Gift for Education

The Jeonbuk Office of Education confirmed on September 25 that Jimin expressed his intent to donate in July. The donation was carried out through his father, who directly contacted the office to discuss the process before transferring the funds to the "Love Scholarship Foundation."

The contribution will be used to support scholarships for elementary, middle, high school, and special school students in the region, prioritizing those who excel academically or face financial challenges.

Continuing His Philanthropy

This marks Jimin's sixth donation to a provincial education office. Since 2019, he has donated 100 million KRW each to Busan, Jeonnam, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam education offices.

Beyond education, Jimin has extended his giving to multiple causes. He donated over 100 million KRW to ChildFund Korea, joining its high-value donor group Green Noble Club. He also contributed to the Army's "Companion in Arms" fund for soldiers, and donated 100 million KRW for relief efforts after the Türkiye-Syria earthquake.

BTS Preparing for Return

Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a full-group comeback, with a complete album scheduled for release in the first half of next year. Fans see Jimin's philanthropy as yet another example of the group's commitment to making a positive global impact.
