Lee Hong-gi of FTISLAND has issued an apology after canceling his scheduled performance at Dongguk University's festival.
On September 26, Lee shared a statement on social media, explaining the reason behind his sudden absence. "I developed symptoms similar to a vocal cord rupture, making it unavoidable for me to step down from today's stage," he wrote.
Sincere Apology to Students
Lee expressed regret toward the students, saying, "I'm sorry for hurting what should have been a precious memory. I promise to make it up to you."
Dongguk University's student council previously announced that FTISLAND's management had informed them of the cancellation on the day of the event.
Upcoming Musical Role
Despite the setback, Lee is preparing for his next project. Starting December 12, he will star in the musical Sugar as "Joe," a saxophonist who disguises himself as a woman to survive.
