HYBE Latin's MUSZA Shares Victory Reflections: "We Will Break Down Musical Barriers"
by. ymchoi

MUSZA, the winning band of HYBE Latin America's audition program, is ready to take their first steps into the global spotlight.

Recently, HYBE Latin America held Pase a la Fama, the region's first-ever band audition program, where 55 talented musicians competed. MUSZA emerged as the final winner, earning a debut contract and a wave of attention across Latin America.

Dreams, Responsibilities, and Gratitude

Gerardo Rodríguez (vocals) expressed, "It still doesn't feel real. Winning Pase a la Fama feels like a dream, but also a huge responsibility. Each of us came into this competition with different struggles, and our victory proves that something powerful happens when we come together."

Bassist Rodolfo Blackmore added, "It's a great honor. For me, this win isn't just an award—it's a responsibility to keep creating sincerely. Being part of MUSZA has shown me the true strength of sharing music."

Drummer Cynthia Ochoa highlighted representation, saying, "I'm proud. My parents sacrificed a lot for me to chase this dream, and I'm happy we've proven that women in bands can shine just as brightly on stage."

Music Rooted in Tradition, Reaching the World

Ramiro Zuñiga (bajo quinto/sub-vocal) shared, "I grew up surrounded by norteño music. This win means taking my roots to a new stage, showing that tradition can evolve into something modern and global."

Saxophonist Jordi Blanco thanked his supporters, while accordionist Oscar Campos described the journey as "destiny," calling music his lifelong refuge.

Pushing Beyond Limits

Reflecting on the competition, the members recalled, "Pase a la Fama was unlike anything we'd ever experienced—intense, emotional, and challenging. But when we first performed as a team in front of a huge crowd, the energy gave us confidence. The friendships we built with other contestants also became a source of strength."

Six Members, Six Colors

The band prides itself on blending diverse styles: "Each member has a unique color, from Mexican traditional sounds to pop, R&B, rock, and urban. We want to create music that is fresh yet rooted, telling authentic stories about our lives and communities while exploring global sounds."

Global Ambitions with HYBE Latin

Looking forward, MUSZA shared, "Signing with HYBE Latin America is the start of breaking barriers. We want to resonate with Latin roots while reaching fans worldwide. Our dream is to stand on global stages, collaborate with diverse artists, and inspire young generations to believe their culture and identity can shine on the world stage."

MUSZA is composed of six members: Gerardo Rodríguez, Rodolfo Blackmore, Cynthia Ochoa, Ramiro Zuñiga, Jordi Blanco, and Oscar Campos.

Would you like me to add a cultural note for international readers about how this marks HYBE's expansion into Latin America, connecting K-pop's global infrastructure with regional talent?
